“American Beauty,” “True Blood” screenwriter seeks $21M for Hollywood Hills compound
The Academy Award-winning writer behind “American Beauty” is looking to unload his over 10-acre Hollywood compound for $21 million, The Real Deal has learned. Alan Ball, who was also behind HBO’s “Six Feet Under” and “True Blood,” is set to place his property sitting at the bottom of Runyon Canyon on the Multiple Listing Service this week. The asking price is nearly double the $11.1 million a trust tied to Ball’s business manager paid for the property at 1900 North Vista Street in 2014. The Agency’s Zach Goldsmith is the listing agent.
