Bascom buys Buena Park apartments for $53M as OC market sees more big-ticket sales

The Bascom Group has added another Southern California apartment property to its collection.  The Irvine-based real estate firm acquired the Castlewood Park Apartments at 6968 Campus Drive in Buena Park for $53.1 million, Commercial Observer reported. The deal for the 183-unit property works out to $290,200 per unit. Huntington Beach-based Newcastle Enterprise Limited was the seller, unloading the property after more than three decades of ownership, the Orange County Business Journal reported.
