Compass exec’s waterfront Newport Beach mansion flirts with local price record

A newly built waterfront mansion on Newport Beach’s Balboa Peninsula is available for nearly $60 million.  The three-story home at 1220 West Bay Avenue is on the market for $57.5 million, the Orange County Register reported. Elias Sabo, CEO of Compass Diversified Holdings, is the seller looking to offload the property after he and his wife Caroline bought the lot in 2012 for $10.2 million. Coldwell Banker’s Tim Smith has the listing.
