Disney star’s aerospace startup quintuples South Bay footprint
An aerospace startup co-founded and led by former Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler is quintupling its headquarters and manufacturing footprint in Torrance as it prepares to scale production of satellite ground-network equipment. Northwood Space has opened a 185,000-square-foot facility at 18500 Crenshaw Boulevard in Torrance, expanding its manufacturing space from 25,000 square feet to 135,000 square feet, L.A. Business First reported. The company expects the new facility will allow it to produce hundreds of antennas each year.
