Eagle Four gets nod from Newport Beach planners for golf course housing plan
A housing proposal at the Newport Beach Country Club is moving toward the City Council with the blessing of the city’s Planning Commission. The Newport Beach Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of a plan that would clear the way for up to 78 units on the golf course grounds at the country club, the Los Angeles Times reported. The proposed five-year development agreement with Eagle Four Partners would give the locally based developer vested rights to develop housing while allowing Newport Beach to negotiate additional public benefit fees.
