Irvine Co, USA Properties bring affordable apartments to emerging Orange County master-planned community
A $175 million affordable housing project is on the way to a master-planned community in Orange County. Irvine Company and Roseville-based USA Properties Fund began construction on a 338-unit project targeting households earning between 30 and 60 percent of area median income, the Orange County Business Journal reported. The project, called Terracina at Tustin Legacy, is part of Irvine Company’s broader 1,300-unit pipeline at the master-planned community. Irvine paid $42.1 million for the 19.4-acre former Marine Corps air station last year. It plans more than 9,000 homes alongside offices, retail, schools and parks.
