Irvine real estate agent arrested at LAX on suspicion of Chinese espionage
An Irvine real estate agent was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after federal authorities accused her of conducting surveillance for the Chinese government on relatives of a senior Taiwanese official. Wanying “Heather” Zhang was arrested Sunday as she attempted to travel to China, the Orange County Register reported, citing a statement from First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli.
