JPI plans nearly 400 apartments to replace offices in Lakewood
JPI is adding to its apartment pipeline in Southern California with a new plan in Lakewood. The City of Lakewood signed off on a proposal from the Texas-based developer to replace a 1980s office building at 3200 East Carson Street in Lakewood with a five-story multifamily building boasting 388 units, Urbanize Los Angeles reported. AARP sold the property late last year for an undisclosed amount. The property spans nearly 5 acres, and the total size of the proposed development, including residential units, amenity spaces and a parking structure, is more than 630,000 square feet.
