LA plunks down $150K to assess makeover of defunct Oceanwide Plaza

Los Angeles will spend $150,000 to spur a makeover of the graffitied Oceanwide Plaza in downtown. The City Council voted to use the funds to hire a consultant to analyze the proposed redevelopment by KPC Square of a hotel at the blighted towers at 1101 South Flower Street, City News Service reported. The city wants to provide development incentives to help create the new hotel.
