Mansion built for Bel Air founder listed for $33M after yearslong reno

A 98-year-old Bel Air mansion built for the founder of the Los Angeles enclave is hitting the market.  The Spanish-style estate at 10772 Chalon Road is for sale with an asking price of $32.5 million, Mansion Global reported. The home was commissioned in 1928 by Alphonzo Bell, the oilman-turned-developer who created Bel Air and its country club. Architect Mark Daniels, who worked on Bel Air’s master plan, designed the 10,600-square-foot home.
