Meta Housing plots more affordable apartments in Pasadena
Meta Housing Corporation is proposing more affordable housing in Pasadena. The Los Angeles-based developer is looking to build a six-story building at 2000 East Colorado Boulevard with 144 apartments, Urbanize Los Angeles reported. All of the units, except for one market-rate manager’s unit, would be designated as affordable housing. By providing the income-restricted units, the development would utilize density bonus incentives that will permit the developer to skirt certain zoning restrictions, though it won’t benefit from Los Angeles city’s Executive Directive 1 for 100 percent affordable developments, as the project lies within Pasadena city limits.
