Mountain lions put 400-unit resi development in Valley on hold
A Newport Beach-based developer is not “feline” fine about the Los Angeles City Council’s decision to slow-walk the approval of nearly 400 residences on a golf course in Woodland Hills. The Woodland Hills Country Club, near the Santa Monica Mountains, was slated for a 398-unit makeover by developer Arrimus Capital, but the Los Angeles City Planning Department determined that the golf course qualifies as endangered mountain lion habitat has forced the project onto a slower conventional approval track, rather than fast-tracked approvals, the Los Angeles Times reported.
