New build aims to set resi record for Dana Point with $65M ask

A recently completed Dana Point mansion has hit the market for $65 million in what could work out to be a new residential record for the city. The home at 1 Strand Beach Drive is now Dana Point’s most expensive listing and pencils out to $6,540 per square foot. If a buyer pays anywhere close to ask, the trade would topple the city’s current record for priciest residential deal, which was set last year with the $34 million sale of 63 Monarch Bay Drive.
