Stewart and Lynda Resnick donate to Becerra, Cloobeck gives to Hilton
A few more of California’s wealthiest are doling out cash for their choice for governor. In September, Stewart Resnick donated $31,400 to Democratic nominee Xavier Becerra. To the right of the political aisle, Stephen Cloobeck, also in September, donated the one-time max of $39,200 to Republican standard bearer Steve Hilton, campaign finance data revealed. Lynda Resnick, the other half of the billionaire couple behind the Wonderful Company, who happen to be among the Golden State’s largest owners of land and water rights, gave Becerra $39,200 in July.
