Supersizing Santa Monica? SB 79 spurs 12-story proposal from Bruce Adler

Santa Monica is still getting its feet wet with Senate Bill 79 projects, but the city’s second one proposes to add to the seaside enclave’s skyline.  Developer Bruce Adler filed plans with the city to demolish a single-family home at 1517 15th Street, which is owned by a family trust, and replace it with a 12-story building with 32 apartments, Urbanize Los Angeles reported.  The structure would rise a maximum of 138 feet above street level, consisting of 11 floors of mass timber construction above a single-story concrete base, with no on-site parking provided.  The developer plans to designate six […]
