Trade Only: Unfinished Malibu Canyon manse scores $34M in off-market deal

An incomplete mansion situated in Malibu Canyon’s guard-gated Serra Retreat neighborhood sold off-market for $34 million last month, The Real Deal has learned. Debbie Weiss, an agent at Innovate Realty, was the seller of the 35-acre estate at 2930 Sweetwater Mesa Road. Cathie Messina and Annette Berger, also with Innovate Realty, represented Weiss, who was approached by the buyer.  Innovate Realty declined to disclose the buyer’s identity but said it was a contractor who plans to finish building the property and bring it to market in about a year.
