Norwalk parking lot poised for affordable housing transformation
Norwalk city officials are considering a proposal for affordable housing development near the Interstate 5 freeway. The Norwalk Planning Commission reviewed a proposal from developer Abbey Road for a new four-story building at 11606 Firestone Boulevard, Urbanize Los Angeles reported. The site currently houses a surface parking lot along the major thoroughfare. North Hills-based Abbey Road is looking to build 90 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments set aside for rent to low-income and extremely-low-income households.
